Wandisa Zungu
Receptionist at Core Medical Centre
Wandisa, better known as “Wandi”, is our receptionist at Core Medical Centre and has been a part of our team since March 2019. She is a
hardworking, friendly, young lady, who always has a smile on her face. She has a Higher
Certificate in Entrepreneurship and Business Management. She has completed her studies in Office Administration with College SA. She ensures
that all queries are dealt with in an efficient manner.
Tasmeeyah Khan
Speech Therapist
Tasmeeyah graduated with a Bachelors degree in Speech-Language Pathology in 2022. She has experience with the paediatric population as well as adults. She is passionate about helping neurodivergent individuals. She believes in a strengths based approach and the importance of building trust. She values connecting with clients in order for them to feel safe, be motivated and reach their full potential. Her hobbies include arts and craft as well as spending time with loved ones.
Thashni Naidoo
Speech Therapist
Thashni graduated with a Bachelor’s degree
in Speech-Language Pathology in 2020. She is passionate about early
intervention and working with children with special needs, specifically those
with autism spectrum disorder due to her personal experiences. She prides herself
on focusing on the abilities of individuals rather than their disability. Her
aim is to create a more inclusive and understanding society surrounding all
communication/feeding difficulties. Her interests include nature, sports,
music, and spending quality time with her family.
Kim Koczwara
Speech Therapist
Kim graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Speech Sciences in 2011 at University College London and has been part of our team since November 2020. Majority of her experience has been working in a specialist school for students with autism in London, England. She has experience working with toddlers to teenagers and enjoys working closely with parents and other professionals to ensure communication skills are carried over into everyday life. Her interests include reading, travelling and spending time with her dog.
Jemima Joseph
Speech Therapist
Jemima graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology in 2014. She practiced speech therapy in the public health sector before joining Rochelle Thanjan Speech Therapy in January 2016. Majority of her experience has been in private practice, where she has worked with toddlers, pre-schoolers, school-aged children, and adults. She enjoys working with all age groups and is flexible in providing age appropriate therapy. She prides herself in working with integrity and providing the best service for all her clients. Her work with children is not limited to the practice as she is also involved in outreach programs and the children’s development department at her local church. Her hobbies include adventure sport, travelling and enjoying quality time with loved ones.
Rochelle Thanjan
Speech Therapist & Practice Owner
Rochelle opened, what was formerly known as Rochelle Seukaran Speech Therapy, in 2012. Before deciding to venture out into private practice, she worked in both education and health sectors. Rochelle treats every client as if s/he were her only client and dedicates time and effort in understanding their individual profile so that they can receive customised, quality services. Her staff have been mentored by her, to ensure that our collective perspective is that communication and feeding are basic and essential human rights and we should do everything in our power to ensure that this right is achieved and enjoyed by all our clients. She is a member of SASLHA, SAMLA and is an executive member of the KZN CP association. She loves nature, travelling and animals.
